Strikemaster- The head is good, auger needs replacement

I have a buddy who trashed his auger, but says the head and everything up tops works great. Does anybody know anybody who has the shaft, auger, blade component for cheap?

For cheap? not sure of anyplace. I know you can get them direct from Strikemaster. IIRC, they are a bit over a hundred bucks when I checked into it last winter.

Not sure how much he wants to spend but was pondering the idea of buying a used jiffy for $150. I saw them on strikemaster's HSOforum, but don't think he wants to spend that much.

Not sure what type of Strikemaster it is. I'll try to find out.

Here is what my buddy emailed on the info about his strikemaster

"it was a chipper blade i believe the old one was 7 and 1/4"

He also said that anything is better than nothing.

Do any of the strikemaster auger units work with all of the powerheads?

Yes. Not sure I'd want to be running a 10" on a 2hp motor but other than that, they all spin the same way so you should be good.

Have you tried contacting D-Rock Center in New Brighton, MN? They are an authorized Strikemaster service center but I also thought they dealt with used augers from some of the area ice fishing contests. They might have some used drill assemblies on hand.
