Ok, I'm officially getting mad now. I was gone all last winter,so I couldnt ice fish, and now this year, I just cant find any dang time to get out! Fired up the auger,the vex is charged,new line on the rods-everything is ready! Now we have friends in from Cali so been busy with that. And it doesnt help being on this site at 4am and seeing all these pics and reading reports. I'm off for a week starting the 30th so I'm going every day,all day!! OK, just had to vent to people who understand(no one in this house does!) Thnaks and good luck!

Give your friends from Cal. some cheaper beer and start serving them spam with each meal. Tell them people in Minnesota eat that all the time, maybe they'll head home a little earlier.

That isnt going to happen- the gal is from here,and her husband has never been here,he thinks its great. His father in law just bought him a portable, so gonna try and take him out here this week. He's under the impression you just sit over a hole-haha.

Just be glad you don't live in Texas and have an addiction to ice fishing! Things could be worse

At least where you live it gets cold and snows...it was 83 yesterday.
