Marker Buoys

It's time to start cashing in the Cabela's gift cards Santa brought me. One thing I wanted to do this winter was replace the line on my marker buoys. Does anyone know if "Decoy Cord" will work? Or is it too thick? Other options? Thanks.

Decoy cord works well. I put that on my marker bouys. It just a little heavier (and stronger) than the original white string.

Mason line, the line masons use for laying block I found is real good. It is nylon and is real high test.

Any heavy braided line works gooe ex: cat braid

I used the old super braid line that I strip off my reels at the end of the system. It works great and is a secondary use for something I normally throw out.

I was thinking about that. I'll be stripping of about 150yds of 15# PowerPro off my baitcaster soon. Maybe I'll give it a try.
