HNTNBUX
I've got a 2004 Polaris Pro X with Ryde FX clicker shocks, all new to me this year. I just had them rebuilt and the mechanic I go to turned them down from 9 to level 2. He said they should not go past this setting. It is bottoming out when jumping, and feels king of light when I get on. Does anyone else know if the shocks should be set light to avoid blowing them out? Macgyver55
If it is bottoming out alot they are set to soft. Its best to set them so they only bottom on the worst of the bumps/jumps, that way you get the most use of your suspension travel.
311Hemi
I would turn them up to see if that helps. There should be no reason to not turn them up on a Pro X....that's what they are there for. I know I ran mine around 2-3 on my 01' Pro X 600, but they were valved VERY stiff. If there is any question...call the guy that rebuilt them and ask why he said that. I would guess just because he thinks anything more would be to stiff for the average rider.
