Final64_1
I'm planning a trip to Northern MN next week. Any recommendations on a few perch lakes would be very helpful. Thanks everyone.

Team Clam
Round Lake towards Bemidji. Way fewer people, and way larger fish on average.

Team Clam
Leech would be my second choice for sure@! Good call PDOGG. Great fisheryI propose a "New Years' resolution for all MN fisherman. Lets Make it Happen in 2009. Go out on a limb and away from the crowd. Stay away from the Destination Lakes like Leech, Winnie, Mille, etcYou will be pleasantly surprised. Final64_1
Yeah, I've heard of the big lakes but being a newbie I found them difficult to fish. I'm looking for some smaller lakes that I could take my Dad and daughter fishing for Perch and Gills. Any small lake recommendations?

Yup, on new years I will be out on a fairly middle-of-nowhere lake for a party with some friends. No electricity or plumbing at the cabin there. I'll be surprised to see more than 3 or 4 other people on the entire lake(there ARE other cabins around).
TCon17
We did pretty good on Leech for the perch this past weekend. Not a lot of big ones, but we did manage a few for the bucket with some eyes mixed in. Thats the only lake i have personally been to and caught numbers of big perch. dreaminofjumbos
If you can wait 1-2 months, than I would hit Mille Lacs. If you put your work in, experience of a lifetime!!!!!

prosport17
My parents used to take us to Gull, just north of Bemidji, not far from tenstrike I believe. Haven't fished it since. How has the lake held up? Is it still any good? We used to catch a lot of Pike.
