Lot of muskrats this year.

Haven't trapped for awhile. Trapped a little last year, decided to hit the muskrats heavy for one week this year.

In 6 days...I got 46 muskrats. Wow, there must be a lot of rats on the lake. Didn' have enough traps to hit many spots...maybe it is time for more traps?

I only got 14 for 3 days. Better than I did last year though. I tried out some colony traps 1 day in the open water and they actually worked, but only had one rat per trap. The other 2 times I somehow timed it at a snow storm to set, and a rain storm to check. That was fun

I had been trapping a small lake, early with colony traps 1 day got 3 rats in 1 trap. good hole Have not trrapped for about 2weeks had been waiting for better ice. Hoping for better prices.

we got 165 rats the first week of season open water trapping. i might try some ice trapping after the first of the year.

Good job foxhunter. You must have a lot of sets.

I have a huge area to trap, but only about 25 traps.

Last year I got 30 in 8 days. I lost a lot to eagles and mink.

This year I did much better.
