winter stream trout

i am confused on the stream trout opener. is it the same as laker and does it open up in the b dub early this year or not? thanks for the help

According to my regulations booklet.

Lake trout and stream trout open Jan 17 2009 and close Mar 15 2009. (others have said there may be an update allowing for opener on Jan 15, but I can't confirm)

BWCA dates for both species were Jan 3 2009 thru Mar 31 2009.

Others here on the forums have said there is no extended season now.

The DNR has updated regs online but I can't view PDFs here at work so any help on changes to regs would be appreciated!
