Should I get a owners manual for that 79 340 I just bought? If so where do I find it? I looked online but could not find it -- any thoughts?

HSOList would be a good place to find one although I don't think its really necessary to have one. Majority of sleds from that era are very basic fundamentally. Most manuals are exploded parts diagrams with part #s. This is valuable info if you are looking for specific replacement parts. A better manual to have would be a factory Arctic Cat dealership service manual for 1979. This would include and describe maintenance, tune-ups, adjustments, service bulletins, and stuff like that. I would snoop around HSOList as this type of stuff is on there all the time.
