Moose-Hunter
Howdy All...I'm looking to convert my plain jane medium Otter sled into a portable ice shelter. I know of two ways to go about this...Buy an original Otter product and call it good... Or.... Go with a Otter skin from Canvas Craft.Which way should I go... Opinions needed.Thanks...------------------M-H (aka: Dan)

Howieroch
I just bought the Otter brand for my small sled and I love it. The canvas is heavy duty and the square tubing is rock solid. The best part about mine is that I got it out of the Cabela's tent sale dirt cheap - if you can get to Cabela's they often have the house kits in the bargain cave. Now I just need some ice to use it on.
WallEYES
Just from personal experience.. go to C.C. and get the skin. The original otter top (green or black) is heavy duty, but does not breath. The black skin from C.C. is a a tad bit thinner than the original, but it breathes. Plus when sunny I don't even fire up the heate, the sun warms up the shelter. I can fish comfortably in 10 degree weather in bright
