Duluth and Bemidji in same zone for deer hunting? Also, no multi-zone?

On the second, I heard somewhere that you're no longer allowed to hunt in more than one zone during the year. Why? This is my first year hunting, but I always thought that was a great idea for college kids like myself, and anyone with relatives in a different part of the state, or just anyone who moves around a lot.

The reason there is no multi-zone license this year is that the DNR simplified things and got rid of that license. Now any firearms license is good in any zone (as long as it is during that zones open season). Basically, you get the old multizone license for half the price.
