Refrigerator recall

I got a letter this week from Starcraft. There's a defect in Dometic refrigerators manufactured between June 1, 2003 and Sept. 30, 2006.

Got mine yesterday.

Camper is in storage 100 miles away. Look's like it will have to wait till the spring.

I can't recall for sure, but I'm remembering "explosion" from the paperwork.

Its a fire hazzard recall. All they do is put some additional sheet metalin the back of the refrig. and put in a gas shut off.

ok, thats the one i thought with the fire hazard... i have done

at least a 100 of them. they should recall the cooling units if

they know there is a problem. the recall kit comes with some

sheet metal pieces, a high temp sensor and a high temp fuse plus

some wiring. they already know the cooling units are junk, why

not just replace them now instead of covering up the problem.
