300# mono

Anyone know where I can get some 300# mono for rigging dekes in the metro area? I remember looking at Gander a while back and I couldnt find anything over 20#.

Why mono? Wouldn't 100# Tuff Line work?

I think you could get away with 50 or 100 pound test. 300 pound test is very thick and not very flexible. Look online at any of the large sporting goods companies and you will be able to order any test line you want. By the way, you would not be able to tie much of a knot in 300 pound test line. You would need to crimp the ends.

I'm planning on crimping them. I want stiff line, so it can slide through a hole with ease. I wont be wrapping it around the decoy.

Its not loacal but BPS sells all sorts of ocean fishing stuff - they should have it.
