First sign of Snowy things for the year.

I was out duck hunting yesterday afternoon on Big White Oak Lake, just south of Deer River, and saw 2 snowy owls. Of course my camera was buried under a couple layers of clothes so no pics. Grrrrrr The one was sitting on a pole out in the middle of the lake and the other was siting on a muskrat hut in one of the channels. Pretty darn cool! I was suprised to see them sitting over the water like that, maybe they like a duck dinner once in a while too???

Snowies will take ducks and small geese now and then.

I have seen Snowy Owls every year since I can remember......I have had bird watchers from Mpls. come up to photograph them the last two years.
