Scott M
Just one of those things, it's always been a day bite lake. The good thing is you don't have to worry about trying to rent a sleeper, you can do day trips pretty easily.

Down Deep
I had a house on LOW for 6 seasons and out of about 100 nights I stayed out on the ice I'll bet I didn't see 25 walleyes caught after dark. Not only is the lake a day lake, but I've always thought that the morning bite was best.
wanger29
Depends on who you talk to. I've never seen it but have talked with people that swear by it. Very few people. I'd like to know where there pot of gold spots happen to be. Personally I'll say they're bogus. Found Devil's was much the same. I figured when the sun was directly over the lake was the window on that lake. Caught a couple early morn & evening bt worked extra hard with 4 rods a piece to do so. fiskyknut
I dunno, guess it depends where you set the hut for the nite? The right spots and you can get some Walters, and some nites lots after dark up here. One of those things that maybe is'nt too well shared on the net eh!! 3 seasons back my biggest 'eye of the entire winter came at 1am.fiskyknut
WinterHaven
Its really weird how you can fish other lakes at night and do really well but LOTW completely shuts down once the sun sets.
honda400ex_treme
I fished LOW a few years ago, 2005 I beleave. Went to Red and we limited out on crappies in a couple days so we pulled the house up to LOW to see if we could get some walleyes. My dad and his friend both ended up limiting out on walleyes and sauger all at night. If I remember right it was just on the otherside of pine island a little bit. I have heard that there is no night bite as well. But apparently it doesn't stay true to that every night.
Snake River King
yeah it is weird how it just shuts down, and in the winter you have sunlight from 8 till 4:30 so you only got like 8-9 hr of fishing, but in those hours its hammer time!!I have rented sleeper houses out there before and after about 5pm thats when the drinking starts, My buddy did catch a eel pout about 9pm once but that is all ive seen. I will still fish until about 9pm but with no bites after 5pm you then kind of give up.SRK
