permanent fish house runners/ski's?

Have a 6x8 perm w/o wheels that I want to build some type of skis/runners for. What works the best as far as the easiest and sturdiest to pull on? i was thinking 2x10's and some flashing to build some ski's out of.

doenst matter if its a permanent mount onto the fish house or not.

slick2526, Many years ago, I built some skis for my dads' spearhouse out of 3" steel pipe. I cut and welded the front of the tubes that they were angled for riding over stuff and then we boxed that out for a step into the house as well as for the propane tank off to the side. Really worked slick, we actually used those tubes for about 18 years! One suggestion... Have BOTH ends capped so they don't fill with water and freeze in. Only took 1 time for that lesson!
