Shimano AX-ULS Reel

I bought one of these things and there's about half to three quarters of an inch of back slop on the thing. I was under the impression is was an anti reverse reel. Can that be adjusted out of it or not??

These reels are designed for a quickfire trigger so by design they will have the back play so that the trigger will stop at the top of the reel.

Not sure if the ul has the trigger, but I am guessing that with/or without you are stuck with this extra play.

May want to consider upgrading. $10-15 more will get you into a reel that has this feature.

The Reel you bought does not have "instant" anti reverse. There is a whole new line of Shimano reels that came out this year that will however.

thanks for the input...i bought it from someone on HSOList and the discription said it did...oh well...guess i'll stick with the ticas or abu garcia 100 ultra lites...
