MN Shutterbug
I was set up at a local small arts and crafts show today and a lady walked up to my booth and said "XT, I'm fishingchicks". Actually, her and her lovely daughter make up the team of fishinchicks, the reason for the plural. She tells me that her daughter is actually the one that's a fanatic about fishing. I just wanted to mention that it was a real pleasure meeting another FM'er in person. She's just as delightful in person as she is online.
fishinchicks
Thanks, X. Now I'm blushing. It was great to meet you as well. It is always fun to put a face to a name. My daughter thought it was cool to meet someone else who has gotten the photo obsession.
mmeyer
Boy X, you're going to know all of us pretty soon.By the way, was this show a little better than the last one?
MN Shutterbug
It was local and indoors and didn't cost me $250 to set up. So Yes, at least I came out ahead this time. Unfortunately, due to the cancelling of a parade on this date, the show didn't draw people from out of town like in past years. I may do 3 more shows in November. I've been told that it can take a couple years of trial and error to figure out which shows work. I can tell you one thing. My area does not have many bird watchers or nature lovers. The majority of the people walk by and just glance at my product. Anyone into nature and birding in particular, can't help but step up to the table to at least discuss birding. Location, location, location. Thanks for asking.
