thanks for the replies. I fish south central minnesota mostly. Most lakes are under 20' and are staind or fairly dark colored lakes. A few lakes i try are Lake Hanska, and Fox Lake by Fairmont. Also have a few I'd rather not mention...

Anybody believe in replacing the plain colored treble hooks with the red ones?

I've read bigger cranks and bigger dressed up baits work better in Fall? Anyone else go along with this theory?

As the water temperatures fall, your presentation profile should increase. Typically, for me, I make the switch from Shad Rap-type lures to more stick-style crank baits when the water temperatures go from the mid-60's to the mid-50's.

When temps drop below 50 degrees I usually upsize big time. It's at this time I'll pull more of the 5-7" plus minnow baits. Doesn't matter if the walleyes are big or small. They'll slam them.
