Any truth 2 the rumor I heard about Canada letting the flood gates open due to a decrease in tourists n hunters n fisherman from lack of $$ weather it be gas$ or individuals being inadmissable due to the dui or other offenses ?

I havn't heard that, we did you get the info? I checked at the CA border this july and they said may/june traffic was up 7% over the past 3 years junes.

I wonder if thats due to all the canadians running over the border and back to take advantage of our weak dollar.

Don't know if that is tru either, but we just crossed and they didn't ask us any of the normal questions: Where are you from, do you have bait, do you have potatoes...

Coming back was easy too. One guy didn't even have his birth certificate / passport and we still breezed through.

I'm not sure what you are talking about? Do you mean Canada is going to stop enforcing their federal immigration laws so some ex-lawbreakers can go fishing?

Fat chance! This sounds like an urban legend or Internet hoax.

Getting into Canada is not an issue if you are a law abiding citizen. If you are a felon or have drunken driving hsitory, you can deal with their laws and still get in.

I have much longer waits and more issues on the U.S. side.
