Okay so they have lowered the rifle a person can use to a .22 centerfire, did they do the same for handgun? Anyone know the smallest pistol one can use?

I do not see anything other than the "...larger than .220...." in the lawbooks. So I guess if you were shooting and encore in .220 swift you are legal.

Personaly .357 with a 4" barrel is the smallest I would recomend. I use a 6.5" .357 and feel very confident that it would do its job out to 35 yards.

Short barrels that handguns have dont lend themselves well to good balistic performace. I realize that dead is dead, but getting there cleanly and humanly are the most important things.
