Well,maybe not that deep! ...Here's a few images from about 2 miles from my front door....nice to be able to find these plants so close to one's home....thought it I wouldn't need mosquito dope as it was only about 45 degrees when I left..."Wrong!"...they were out and were ready for battle! ...

various forms of this red meadowhawk dragonfly...they all resemble each other closely...so I'm just calling it a "meadowhawk"
