Bear Hunting in Ag country

Does anyone here hunt bear in the red river valley or somewhere with a similiar landscape.....mostly farm fields with very few woods. There has been some bear sightings in the area and I was just wondering once baiting starts if I should try a bait in the biggest woods in the area "30 acres"

Anyone ever tryed this or had success?

I believe Boar hunts up in that area and could give you some insight.
