Trolling Motor Reversed?

Hey guys, recently our 70lb thrust PowerDrive2 started going in reverse. Why? It works, but we have to reverse the directions, and I know it's not doing the battery life any good. And also, which way does the prop spin when it's going forward? Clockwise right? It does that OUT of the water, but still goes in reverse IN the water. Any ideas?

Did you hook up your battery backwards?

Did the prop get put on backwards. Just a thought I dont know if it can be put on backwards or not

No I didn't, and I don't think they cant.

I think you may have one of those gremlins under your boat probably the brother to the one I got

when mine did that the polarity got reversed after i had it repaired..it was hooked up bckward inside the motor...but if yours is just doing it without anybody working on it..that is strange..not sure if the polarity can just change on itself..
