Canon EOS 40D w/ EF 28-135mm

Anyone have any pro's or con's on this setup? I've been contimplating on taking the plunge on this package on sale at a store for $1299. and putting the Minolta X700 in storage

Great camera body and excellent "walkaround" lens. Because of an instant rebate, you can get the combo for $1,129 at Canoga Camera if you order before July 19. That's the online camera retailer I've done all my photography business with for the four yeas plus.

You would have a very nice all-around lens with an advanced body. I can't imagine this not being a very good set up.
