Chena bait

Has anyone ever heard of a bait called Chena bait? Does it really work? What is it? Where can you get it? It is supposed to be really tough and fish eat it up. You can get multiple hits and catches without changing your bait. Any help is appreciated.

Duckman 8... It is actually seal skin. I have used it only a couple times this winter and caught fish each time (pannies). If you are going to use it, cut the stuff at home...about 3/8 to 1/2 inch in length. Fish it on small jigs/teardrops etc. The days I used it the fish were actively hitting, so I cannot say whether it is the fisherman's savior bait or not. The strikes were about like those of a pannie on a waxie or maggot.

I tried it last year and it didnt seem to make much difference. Plastics work better.

You may be able to find it at better tackle dealers and baitshops and you can get it on line. Key word ...chena bait.
