Fiddleheads

How do you tell what type of Fiddleheads are edible? I've done a little reading and from what I have seen, the only type you should eat is the Fiddlehead from the Ostrich Fern.

How do you identify them as an Ostrich Fern when they are still in the Fiddlehead Phase?

I never pick them but yes there the only edible fern. I have been told look at stem it is U shaped. thats all i know do you eat leeks?

I too would like info on these do alot of people look for them. Are they allover where would I find them??

I tried leaks for the first time last week there pretty good.There were tons of them that I found I never knew what they looked like until this year.
