Took out time getting out Saturday, cause of Corny days and walking with wife through flea market Saturday morning--was calm as glass out there from 8-10am, we decide to go out at 10 am to a suprising rough waters by then!! We went out to end of the bay there and turned around and came back in--lil too rough to be able to enjoy the fishing--had to be 3-4 rollers out there!!! So we bummed around til 3pm and tried again with it a lil less rough and fish til 6pm caught one nice 10pd laker on a reed runner--orange and yellow in color 250 ft behind boat- no planner board used in about 150 fow and had the others set on downrigger with no takers-- stay rough the whole time out there, so we decided to head back and go to Fish Lips and have a few!!! Didnt make it out Sunday the nicest day after stay at Fish Lips til 2am!! lol Oh well cant catch em all right!!

Wife and I did ok both days even though not out for many hours cause of the weather!! Saturday from 9:30-1 pm we caught 5 2 lakes and 3 kings--watermelon and gold colors from 70-30ft down on riggers and in about 130-8-ft of water, then rain and fog set in. Sunday we went out from 9:30-11:30 and then got rain out and we caught our limit of lakers in that time--was fun!! water temp is around 55-56.

SuperiorFishGuy - I'm heading up to Bayfield this weekend and have never fished it. A few questions on your post...are those watermelon and gold spoons? I need a few lures before I get there and wonderin what kind to get. If I were to limit myself to 5 or less lures, what would you (or others) recommend to see the most action? (lakers first)

For depth of water, is 130-8 fow 8' to 130' or 130' to 138' fow?

Thanks.

I put my boat in on Friday at Little Sand Bay. Ran it out about ten min. and back. Rig up new leaders on my line than sat around the campfire drinking beer and telling fish stories. I didn't catch a thing
