maddowg1192000
I was just looking at the cover of a magazine and there was a pic of a sturgeon that was suppose to weigh 124LBS. I was thinking that the DNR should have 2 categories for records(normal and CPR). For the CPR they could make a registered tape measure that they could charge for(lets say $10) and the money could go towards fish habitat. My question is, do you think the DNR should change the way records are kept?
LMITOUT
The closest thing would be the Master Angler program which covers both kept fish and CPR fish. Only fish kept will count as a state record though and it really is the only way for it to be "official".
crazyice
That rule sucks if you ask me! This topic has been discussed in depth in threads on other spots in this forum... Just no way around it right now.
JohnMickish
If everybodywas honest it would help. With a record you can't stretch the truth, that's why they have to use a certified scale. Length and girth measurements are not an exact science and not all fish weigh the same with the same measurements. Hmmm, if I start the measuring tape at 3 instead of zero.....
