DTro Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Just finished up reading a very interesting article over lunch in the latest MN Conservation Volunteer.Return of the Sturgeon:A story of how there is a big effort to return the Sturgeon to its once native Wild Rice and Red Rivers. From the sounds of it, just making a passage way in the dams could be all that is needed for these fish to thrive once again.A good read about a great fish.Hopefully the effort will pay off as it has up on the Rainy. Lisa Almquist Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 One thing that I really like reading about in the article was the deep traditions that the White Earth Band have with sturgeon and now with their numbers returning so are their ceremonies.
