how rare is an albino mallard

Zeek, all bird species contain individuals that show part or full albinism. It's rare in general, but I don't know if it's more rare in mallards than other birds.

There are domestic duck species that are very similar to mallards, so it's possible the duck you've got, even if it's hanging around with mallards, may not be a mallard but one of the tamer varieties that's escaped.

Whatever species it is, if it is a full albino it will have pink eyes and a pink bill. I see you're going to get photos of it, so please share them when you do, and the best of luck.
