Jackpine Rob
We took the last of our turkeys from last year out of the freezer yesterday, for the annual Pre-Season Gobbler Feast.2 bags of Kellogs Stuffing mix. Onion, celery, butter and chicken broth added to the mix, stuffed the bird (plucked with the skin still on of course).Placed the bird in my largest oval roasting pan (had to chop off the lower legs to make it fit), poured a couple of cups of chicken broth in the pan, sprinkled the bird with a little poultry seasoning, then sealed it up with a foil cover.4 hours later, pulled it out of the oven - and entered Turkey Nirvana.....Moist, delicious......Made gravy out of the drippings for the baked spuds. Our freezer is now turkey-less, and season opens in a couple of days! HMMMM It's coming out next week too, kinda gives you alittle more purpose when you're out there hunting them after you eat the last of it doesn't it...Good Luck!Ken
