This is from a story on Kelo tv: "Oahe, still troubled by drought, enters the spring almost 10 feet above its 2007 spring level."

So it could be up 12 feet from what it was last spring. I know they said last fall it was up 8 feet from the previous year.

I would say Oahe is up about 8 feet over last fall. I live in Mobridge right on Oahe. We have an old railroad grade near town and judging by how much stuck out of the water last fall and by how much it is just under the water it is about an 8 foot difference. Most of the chips show sunken grades and similar on Oahe, its the old oak trees just below the surface that will get you.

I took a look at it a week ago...going by the Indian Memorial landing across the bridge, it does appear that the water level is up quite a bit. That whole landing was dry last year...it looks almost usable this spring.

Last spring I used the Indian Memorial landing once, you just had to be careful going out of the bay. I looked and I am pretty sure that it could be used right now. I wish they would do some work to that ramp being as it is so protected from the wind. Actually the water is up high enough to use the east low water ramp at Indian Creek state park.
