Goodman
I have read that you can use a Vexilar Fl-12 for open water fishing, but have not found a site describing how to use it. If anyone knows of a site or can help me out that would be greatThanks in Advance
EBass
I believe the FL-12 came with a DVD. I have a FL-18 and it's on the bow of my boat with built in ducer on the t-motor. I normally have it on regular power and on 1 so looking at the first 20 feet of water. It shows the depth, weeds, and fish just like winter.I did just have the FL-18 as my only unit for a couple of years off the stern and it was fine. I just had to keep asking my buddy - how deep is it - how deep is it?
MinnesotaMongo
Wow - I must be Old School. I cut my teeth with an FL-6 in the back AND front of the boat. Back then I would say "Learn it - use it" because they were so accurate. Now, for a buck and a quarter you can get a pretty decent unit to put on your boat - that is loads more fun than an old flasher....
prov1900
I don't know. I have an FL18 on front of the Lund. I can't think of anything more fun than that. You see fish on the flasher, you catch them. Go Vex!!!
