Island Lake Reservoir (Duluth) campgrounds?

I'm looking for rustic/island camping options on Island Lake north of Duluth. Any suggestions or is my only option the private campground on the south shore?

last campground we had was closed a couple of years ago. You could camp on islands on the lake. there are a few with campsites.

I fish Island a lot and can only think of 4 sites that are marked. There are a few other unmarked sites that are scattered around. I think you can find them on the MN Power HSOforum. Or give them a call. In the spring and early summer they are hard to get.

If you are interested, Whiteface has a campground and has lots of sites out on the lake.
