Just read that RCR will have a fourth car in 2009.

General Mills will be leaving Petty and will be the main sponsor for the #33 car.

Bobby Labonte's contract is up with Petty at the end of this year. It sure would be nice to see him in some quality stuff agian.

What do you think two older driver's in Labonte and Burton and two younger in Harvick and Bowyer.

Yes it would! There was a rumor earlier this year that Labonte was going to be RCR's 4th driver. Almost makes too much sense with General Mills leaving Petty to go to RCR. I'd like to see him get the ride.

I agree with all it would be good see Bobby driving good equipment, he's a class driver and a champion. I will say though, I really pull for the Petty's to get their ship straightened out. They built NASCAR and they've been through a lot having lost their future star in Adam. They deserve better and I hope they can get back to at least respectability. It will be tough for them if they lose drivers and lose sponsors...

Also true in regard to the Petty's...If they want to turn it around they are going to have to spend the money on the R & D and hire the big money engineer's and staff that the other quality teams have. Every year they say they are doing so, and you expect them to get better, but it really hasn't happened....yet. I also think it is time for Kyle to completely hang up the driving shoes and just work on running things. It has to be tough trying to do both.

I agree with all of the above, it would be great to see Bobby with RCR but I also don't want to see Petty fall apart if he leaves. Kyle deffinatly needs to find someone else to fill his drivers seat.

sounds like a great deal.as far as petty's race teams he might as well just sell it all and retire.i think they are to far behind to try to keep up with every 1 else.

The deal with both driver and sponsor for RCR would be a good thing. With the past champion driving, the car is gaurentted a spot in the first five races.
