One thing that really helps is, adding memory. I upgraded mine to almost 1 gig and it really makes a difference.

I'll second X-T. Depending on how big your files ultimately get (some of the ones I work on are 200 Mb or bigger), the more processor speed and RAM you've got, the faster you can chew through changes to those files.
