Magellan GPS Model 315

murff

Question

I have an older gps handheld unit, the Magellan 315. Works great for my use. One question bothers me maybe someone has a quick answer. The manual does not as far as I can find. If I take the batteries out of the unit will I lose my stored waypoints? If so, if the battery dies out and I don't replace it in time, I assume the same result will occur. Thanks.

Murff, I have the same old 315 that I use for hunting. I have had it run out of bat and the waypoints are fine. I would imagine over time if you left it dead for a long time it may wipe them out. But from fall to fall I have had no problem.
