New Barrel

I bought a youth model rossi shotgun for my son. I was just curious if anyone knew if you could just buy different barrels for that gun. I heard from someone you have to send in the gun so that rossi can match the barrel and the gun.

I know that is true for Newengland arms co. (simular single shot as rossi)

I'm sure you can get diff barrels, If I'm thinking about the same gun, you can get a combo shotgun/rifle set up.
