In Ground Basketball setup.

It s been a while since I put up a basketball hoop.

I have always had the portable units for the kids, but its hard to use it in the winter when they need it most because it is stored.

I'm wanting to install an in ground pole of some kind, even a wooden post? like a 4x4 or a 6x6 ?

Does anyone have any tips or leads for a good system that won't cost me too much??

well - you have to auger in a hole, pour concrete

then you can mount anything to that...metal pole or wood pole.
