Powerstroke
I'm not sure if you had yourself measured for a bow yet, but if you haven't that is the first thing you should do. Its important to know your draw length and what weight you will need. Once you have that info you can go about looking for models that will fit you. Being a smaller frame you will most likely need a "young adult" or "youth" bow. Its just the way they advertise them.A friend of mine is 5'6" and around 105lbs. She shoots an Alpine at around 50lbs. The best advice for finding a bow you like is to head to a shop somewhere and just shoot as many as you can. Take a notebook and keep track of what you like and dislike. You will quickly narrow down your selection.Buying used is just fine when you're starting out. I've got a bow I've had for 3 years and its a total of 8 yrs old now. With regular maintenance they can be just fine.
caseynewberg
Thanks we measured for my length and it was a 24" does that sound right?
HuntFishDude
I think PowerStroke is right, find a decent archery shop in your area ( can post here for suggestions). While they may (not always) be a little more expensive then going online or to big stores, the advice and attention is priceless. This is especially important when just starting out. My 2 cents anyway. Good luck and have fun.
Powerstroke
The 24" sounds about right. Knowing that you'll need a smaller bow limits your choices, but it does make it a little easier since the archery market is very full of options right now. Finding a quality bow will not be difficult. Its all just a matter of spending some time shopping.
