went ice fishing 11/22/03

got out ice fishing for the first time this year. i went to a small lake by bemidji. there was 5 inches of ice and a three-wheeler out there. we did pretty good. some small eyes and a big pike.

wow, are there any other lakes up there producing good ice already?

was out on big turtle and another smaller lake and both had a good 5 1/2 inche of ice

I have only been to the one lake so far. It is weird going out ice fishing when lake bemidji is still wide open.

Red is safe out to about a mile. Keep your fingers crossed that this snow doesnt ruin it.

I went out on the same lake as I did this past weekend and there is about two more inches of ice on it. Lots of snow on it though. Hope that doesn't screw up the good ice.
