Jack Stasney
I have a 1972 Johnson 100HP that needs a new prop. Having never bought a prop before I don't have a clue as to what different dimensions, pitch, etc will get me. Any suggestions? This boat will mainly be used on inland lakes with occasion use for skiing and possibly trips out on Superior for Lakers/Salmon. The boat is a 1972 Larson Tri-hull 16.5Ft. PerchJerker
Is there a prop on the motor right now? Unless there's a performance problem you're hoping to cure by repropping, your best bet is to go with the same size and pitch prop as what's already on there ....... unless you can get multiple props to test to see which performs best for your set-up. chickeywing
Stick with OMC. You can get cheaper props but some aftermarket props aren't 'true'. As for size, stick with the same it came with, assuming it ran fine at one time.TC
