Looking for some info on the Thorne Bros ice rod's.I need a dead stick.I have herd they are the best.Any frist hand info would be great

I got one for christmas last year and it works great. With such a soft tip, use fireline and a mono leader to help with hooksets.

I have a mess of Thorne Bros rods and I love them, I feel they are some of the most sensitive rods I have ever used. I have the sweethearts and deadsticks and I have never had anything but positive things to say about them.

I have yet to try the Rock-n-Reel but I will this year once I get one. I do beleive by seeing them that they will be the ticket for deadsticking.

Get a rock n reel or a tip down and save yourself some $. As stated hooksets are at times a issue with such limber tipped rods. I like a med/lt. rod on my rock n reel. Fish dont feel anything and you get better hook up percentage. My 2 cents worth is all.
