North Shore Biking

Does anyone know of any bike trails on the North Shore that has camping and fishing all within a short distance of one another. I would like to go biking for a few days, but I would like camping and fishing all within distance for food while on the trail.

Lee, there is a trail that runs along the North Shore. Check the DNR HSOforum for info.

It's called the Gitchi Gammi Trail. It's not entirely complete but there's a few decent sections. Lutsen also has decent mountain biking. Do a search and you can find a bunch of info on the Gitchi Gammi.

Yes, they are completing a section through Gooseberry Falls SP this fall.

I discovered that a few weeks ago, when I was awakened in my tent early Monday morning to the sound of bulldozers working on the trail. And I thought going during the week would be quieter up there!

There are, or at least used to be some Xcountry trails in the state parks that allowed bikes on them. We used to bike there a bit. We have in the past done some at Gooseberry and Split Rock.
