Lowrance or Hummingbird

There is alot of great units out there right now from both companies.

Im wondering what everyone else is using, and what they feel is the best out there for themselves.

I like my lowrance, I have 2 on my boat and the h2oc.

I love my Lowrance, but if I could swing it, I would put the HB Side Imaging on the dash in a heartbeat. I would keep the Lowrance for the sonar portion and use the HB for exploring. I read that is the setup Wolverine is using. Have heard very good reports from friends who are using the SI. There is a learning curve but it is a real eye opener on exactly what is out there in those lakes you thought you knew. So when I find that extra 2K laying around, that is what I am going to do.

I just received an x28 and will be getting my x27 this weekend. So I'll have new color units on front and back. I love them. However, I would REALLY like to run a Hummingbird on my console in addition to my x28. Use my sonar and gps from my Lowrance, which I've heard are superior to the HB, but also use the SI from the HB. Like you, when I find the $2K just laying around, I'll do it.
