That is a toss up!!! Pretty boy is solid so he doesn't collapse so that is one down fall. b-mobile does so that is nice. I would also look at king strut put out by flambeau he looks pretty well and he is split so you can put real wing feathers in him and a tail he looks pretty nice as well.

The king struts look sweet. tey all have there good and bad points. As far as the skins I seen them used in Nebraska. They work O.K. but that tom decoy from what I've seen in the feild is worth it. It's just wich one looks the best and is the most usefull.

I'm defintiely a believer and witness, of the pretty boy in action. Used one last spring and watched a tom run 300 yds across a hay field to get to within 10 feet of the decoy, in 30 seconds. I shot at that point, but now wish I would have waited to see what happened. 45 minutes late had 3 jakes and 4 hens come in to the same decoy, after I shot. My dad got one of the jakes. I used a real fan, dried out for the tail feathers so I assume that helped as well.

What season or time of year, remember the dates? Just curious.

Thanks,

Here is the one my buddy and I put together we found her on the road and got a tag from the co and used a head from a different flambeu decoy we call her "Ivana Tom" she is a real head turner bouncing around the back see of the vehicle when you are heading out!!

That is nice work right there. You gotta give it a good ol' boy southern name and start filming after the shot and say "Ah tell yeew whut, ol' beeeeh mohble really got ur dun tuh day. Shot a big ol' tom. Ain't he puuurdy?"

mnmuzzleloader thats a great looking stuffer, I have the frozen skins of a bearded hen and a jake that I shot last year and I want to make decoys out of them, the last stuffer I made we called zelda and used borax for preserative and a regular taxidermry form for the body but its pretty fragile. There is a company that will make one for you and they claim to use silicone under the skin to make them more durable, how did you make yours and any ideas on transporting a full bodied decoy?

we were able to find a form at Van dykes that was the whole body with a wire form so it is pretty strong, I have the long wire stuck into my arrow target for transportation in the truck. This year I made a stand out of 1x2's so she can stand on the ground with out having to get the wire into hard ground. I noticed that Primos when they had Bob used back pack straps to pack him in and out so I am going to get something like that this year so Ivana is easier to move around.

The silcone thing doesn't work. I did my stuffer two years ago and she's been attacked twice and mounted at least 6-8 times. Went threw a few rain showers also and she doesn't look to bad yet. Mine is pretty good and flexable. Ugly but flexable.

Anybody try these things? I finally saw one today, looks like a nice way to dress up the cheap decoys if you plan on getting those toms in really close.
