in this area ya might want to think about getting it off.

More than 6 inches of snow could fall on Fargo-Moorhead when a winter storm moves into the area Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D.

A winter storm watch is in effect from Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night.

Four to 6 inches of snow or more is possible along a line from Maddock, N.D., to Fargo to Wadena, Minn., says weather service meteorologist Vince Godon.

The snow will be fluffy, much like the 1.2 inches of snow that fell in the area on Monday. North winds in the 25- to 30-mph range could blow the snow around, but conditions won’t be as bad as last Saturday’s blizzard, Godon said.

“With this one, we’re not looking at winds quite as strong,” he said. “There will be some blowing and drifting snow, but nothing like the blizzard we just had.”

Wind chills will fall to 25 to 35 below zero by Thursday morning.

Godon noted the storm notice is still a watch at this time.

“So there is a potential for that snow band to shift either north or south,” he said.
