Steve Foss
Hey all, Had an excursion client out yesterday, and of course when it's -15 to -20 and 25mph winds all the wildlife/birds are hunkered down (except the ravens), so we worked hard to find interesting pattern and abstract type shots. My companion looks for these shots the world over, having photographed and lived in several countries, and he was suggesting how closely an edge of snow, ice and open water resembles the Artic coastline from the air, or how drifted sculpted snow suggests desert dunes. Here are a few I got while trying to keep warm out there. It was c-c-c-cold!
finnbay
Very interesting! I think you had one on a few weeks ago that followed a similar theme! It is so cool how we can find the rest of the world out of our own back door. Great shots!

yakfisher
Once again, nice work. It is amazing how one thing in this world looks like another and how forms are ofter consistent throughout different mediums.
Moose
Brrr. You are one dedicated photographer. It's nice to sit in front of the Gas fireplace and watch you guys work on these nice winter days. I spent to much time in warm climates this winter season to brave that. Great Pics Steve.
