free guided texas flathead trip anyone?

Well guys, looks like I'm moving to Texas. I got a job working on the oil rigs, and I'll be starting in a few weeks.

Anyways, I'll keep this short. My uncle guides part time for flatheads, and told me that he'd be more than willing to show me some of his favorite spots. He also told me that I am more than welcome to take anyone with whenever I would like, and I would like to extend that invite to anyone on here. You guys always seem more than willing to take guys out w/ you, and I would like to return the favor by getting you on the chance at a truely giant flathead. His pb is 84lbs, and catches over 60 aren't uncommon. He said he and his clients typically get around 10 a year that size, and usually a couple of 70s. 40s don't even raise eyebrows!

I would like to start planning trips fairly soon, as it is easier to get cheaper tickets if you book well in advance. The only costs would be food and gas, any of you would be welcome to stay at my place for free. Shoot me an email at [email protected] if you're interested!

Keep intouch I've been known to take off and fish the Red & Sulpher in NE Texas,close to OK. & ARK. border. Where will you be fishin?

I think it was called lewisville lake? I'm not exactly sure, I've never been down there

My Dad was stationed at Goodfellow AFB down there at San Angelo, TX. When I was a kid. I learned to fish the Concho River during the ripe times between 4th and 7th grade in the 70's.....It was a kids paradise!

I would love to go down and check out some of my old haunts along the river. Where does your Uncle live?

Lewisville lake is north of Dallas Ft.Worth by Denton,Bout 100 miles west of where I have fished by Whiterock,boxelder,annona.

Fish you gonna be at work 3 weeks off 1 or 4on off 2,Do ya know yet.This sounds like a Jan. Feb.trip to get out of this COLD,and I'd like to visit friends,and a trip to PaloDuro canyon,I mentioned to the ole girl.We'd drive right through Denton.Course you'll probably get housing closer to the coast.

I'm pretty sure he lives in denton. I'm not sure exactly what's going on yet, plans are still pretty blurry. All I know is he told me he can get me a job starting between $75 and $85k, and I can start as soon as I can get money to move down. I'm pretty sure he's either right in or close to denton.
