Tent cot

Ditto on the Cabela's Outfitter. The cot is 40 inches wide and the base is engineered so there is no tip when someone sits on it. The mattress is has retainers that attach it to the cot so it stays put when you roll around. I also have the caddy and the rack which are great to unload and store all the pocket gear and hang the pants and coat. The rack also keeps your pillow from falling off the end of the cot at night. The cot, mattress, caddy and rack is a bit pricey, but in the long run well worth it.

Unless you have a huge tent, the outfitter cot might be too big....I have one, I'm 6'7" and well over an eighth of a ton. I use for cabin camping since most cabins have small beds. I am not sure how I would get it in a tent unless it is one of those cabin tents. On the bright side, I love that cot. Every time I head to camp in Iowa, everyone complains about my huge cot, but I sleep like a baby, albeit a big baby, every year

I'm 6'7" too and I'll put in another vote for the big cot. I use it for 2 trips to Iowa pheasant hunting, the MN deer season, and numerous summer camping trips each year. It's held up well for close to 5 years now and is very comfortable. You can get the same thing under different names at Gander and Sportsman's. Mine actually came from Gander and is called a "Nebos" brand.
